Applying Foresight at The World Bank's Technology and Innovation Lab
On Thursday, February 20th at 9:00am Pacific Time, Institute for the Future, together with The World Bank Group's Rachel Alexandra Halsema, will host a free and public-facing webinar about how she's applying foresight and design thinking in her role at the ITS Technology & Innovation Lab and what impact it has on the organization's global work.

The ITS Technology & Innovation Lab (ITSTI) provides a learning platform, exploration space, and technology advice around disruptive technologies. We collaborate and partner with ITS counterparts, internal WBG business units, and external stakeholders to explore, test and understand new technology capabilities that will enable the WBG to fully harness the Digital Age to achieve its mission.

Rachel Alexandra Halsema is an IT Officer at the World Bank Group and a member of the Technology and Innovation unit. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College in Russian language and literature and a master’s degree in information systems technology from the George Washington University. In 2009, she rode her bicycle 3,800+ miles across the United States and Canada to raise money and awareness for the cause of affordable housing.
